Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Today was a lot of fun. I've been coaching my daughter's tee ball team. Half the team were girls, which was a new dynamic for me. We had a lot of fun learning the game together and I'm hopeful all the players will return to learn more about the game next year.

Today we had our end of year celebration. A friend of mine is the GM of a minor league baseball team, so we headed to the stadium in our uniforms and got great seats right behind the home team's dugout. The players were invited onto the field to sing the national anthem standing with the player at their favorite position. (I had to remind the players to spread out so everyone wasn't at either pitcher or catcher) The gang had a chance to dance with the mascots on top of the dugout and also were back on the field to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". They also received trophies for participating in the league. But the best part of the night was seeing the friendships formed between teammates during the season and this group of youngsters enjoying each other and a great game of baseball.

So what if the Vermont Lakemonsters beat our team. We still won!

Take time to Tilt,

John
