John has a chronic case of the dreamer’s disease. He rarely sees things for what they are, but rather what they could be, should be and will be. In other words, novelist is a moniker that fits him well…creating character and settings that seem both real and imaginary at the same time.
He is the creative force behind Life on Tilt: Confessions of a Poker Dad. Creating a fictional autobiography requires equal parts chutzpah and fantasy…something John never finds himself short of. He looks forward to documenting the protagonist Johnnoe Zandoken’s further adventures in the sequel Life After Tilt.
John has written several short stories, some poetry, a murder-mystery game and a short play. This is his first full-length novel.
John has twin boys, a daughter and a Doberman-shepherd mix. He is a certified Black Belt in Six Sigma process discipline, an avid poker player and active in his community serving on the local Board of Education, Board of Directors for Junior Achievement and elder at the local church.
John has more than 20 years of experience in the banking, healthcare and energy industries, mostly as an HR professional. John has shared his philosophy on HR Information Strategy with leaders across major organizations including General Electric and the US Armed Forces, as well as at national industry events and universities. John has an undergraduate degree in Management from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
